It appears Democrats are changing their election-season tune: they aren't going to reform pork spending (earmarks). Is anyone out there surprised? Of course they are going to keep them; they use them to buy votes, just like the Republicans did before them. As Ben Franklin once said, "Once people discover they can vote themselves more money, that will herald the end of the republic."
