Congress is in Session

Democrat leaders have announced that they plan on lengthening the congressional work week. Currently, Congress is in session for basically two days. They have met less then the "Do nothing Congress" in 1948. At first, this seems like a great idea: they were elected to represent us, so they should actually be doing that right? In fact, we work five days a week, why don't they? Well, two things: first, they only extending the week to what amounts to three days. Second, and perhaps more important, I believe it was Will Rogers who said in effect, "No one's wallet is safe as long as Congress is in session." With more time, they will have more chances to gain access to our lives and money. More resolutions, more investigations, more panels, etc. I vote for no change.
