Political Class (Dis)Approval

The President’s approval ratings are still quite low: 38%, while 58% disapprove.
A little less advertised in the media are Congress’ approval ratings:
33% approve, and 60% disapprove. This is actually up from a low of 21% approval achieved in December. Sounds like a “mandate” to me.
Me? I think we should do the same thing with politicians as we should with MLB players: fire them all and hire “amateurs” who “aren’t familiar with the way things work around here.” Maybe even people who don’t really want to stay, and are honest about their views and opinions, or (gasp) people who have opinions further than “I want to be reelected.”
